Study Leave Process

The general practice study leave budget is for the education of GP specialty DiTs.  The education budget is limited and is public money. The Director of Postgraduate General Practice Education has the responsibility for ensuring efficient spending.  Study leave is not a right and cannot be absolutely guaranteed.  Study leave must be applied for in advance and forms approved in accordance with the Study Leave Policy.

Travel to GP Teaching

Travel expenses for attending regional teaching days are claimed for via the lead employer -

Relocation & excess mileage (inc claims for tunnel and bridge tolls)
