Higher Profession Education (HPE)

Health Education North West has been running HPE Courses for 19 years. The primary aim of this course is to allow participants to meet with colleagues at a similar stage of their career to share good practice and support each other in their professional development. We plan to cover many and varied subjects, as well as working together in groups of eight or nine to develop skills in areas such as leadership, negotiation, and assertiveness. We will also explore Commissioning and Revalidation.

The course is available to all newly qualified GPs in the first 5 years after completion of training in addition to all post CCT fellows. Places will be allocated on a first come first serve basis, but we will endeavour to meet the demand.

The course will be fully funded by NHS Health Education North West, and you can attend all modules   or select the ones that most suit your educational needs.

There is also the opportunity for participants who have completed 5 days to obtain academic accreditation through UCLan (subject to successfully completing a written assignment).
