Clare Malpas

Bio: 

Clare Malpas was born near Liverpool and graduated from Imperial College London in 1998. After completing GP training in 2003, they became a GP Partner and have worked at the same practice on the Wirral for the past 22 years, currently serving as a four-session GP.

They spent 13 years as an undergraduate educator at the University of Liverpool before being appointed Associate Dean in 2018. In this role, they oversee training in Liverpool and the Isle of Man, with portfolio interests that include training courses, the GP Retainer Scheme, and GP retention more broadly.

They live on the Wirral with their husband and whichever of their three children are currently home. Outside of work, they enjoy travelling, exercising, reading, and football—now as a spectator rather than a player.
