Welcome to National ST1 Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Recruitment 

Health Education England and the Royal College of Psychiatry introduced a pilot run-through training programme in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry for the first time in 2018 for posts commencing in August 2018. This pilot will continue for the next recruitment round.

Health Education England (North West Local Office) is coordinating the national process for recruiting trainees into these ST1 Child and Adolecent Psychiatry training posts.

The next round of ST1 Recruitment for posts commencing in August 2022 will open for applications at 10am (UK Time) on Thursday 04 November 2021 and will close at 4pm (UK Time) on Wednesday 01 December 2021.

There is a single application process for CT1 Core Psychiatry and ST1 Child and Adolescent Psychiatry which is listed in Oriel as CT1 Core Psychiatry. Applicants have the opportunity to preference available posts in either or both specialties when preferences open.
