Alison Caldwell was born in the North West of England and completed her medical degree at Liverpool University. She undertook her GP training on the Warrington Programme and went on to work as a General Practitioner for 25 years, retiring from clinical practice in 2023.
Alison has been a GP trainer since 2008 and has had a long-standing involvement in GP education since 2006. Her dedication to supporting and mentoring future GPs has been a central part of her professional career.
Outside of medicine, Alison is a passionate rugby league fan and a season ticket holder for Warrington Wolves. She also enjoys cooking—especially baking—and spending time with her family at their caravan in Yorkshire, where they love to go walking.
