Rob Stokes
Associate Dean - GP
Bio:

I am a GP in an 8 partner practice in Tottington, Bury. I was appointed as a trainer in 1994 and still actively train a GPST. I have previously undertaken the roles of scheme organiser, training programme director and now associate dean.

I am appraisal lead for Oldham, Rochdale and Bury as well quality lead for Bury CCG.

I was appointed as an Associate Director of Postgraduate GP Education in 2011 and my area for trainee responsibility  is that covered by the Pennine Acute Hospitals trust – namely Oldham, Rochdale, North Manchester and Bury.

My associate portfolio includes responsibility for ooh quality management, joint ARCP lead, organizing the regional trainer’s conferences and joint lead assessor for gp recruitment. I tutor on several HENW educator courses. I am lead associate for the southern academy.

I work for the RCGP as an external advisor which involves reviewing other LETB panels, reviewing GPST e-portfolios and representing the College on appeal panels.  I also currently sit on the Quality Monitoring of Training Standards committee and I chair the Deanery Out of Hours Lead group on behalf of UKCEA.

Away from work I am interested in photography, reading and follow Blackburn Rovers – well someone has to!
