Welcome to Psychiatry Recruitment coordinated by Health Education North West
Health Education England formally transferred the responsibility for national recruitment to Psychiatry at CT1 and ST4 levels from the Royal College of Psychiatrists to Health Education North West with effect 1st October 2013. This means that all CT1 and ST4 Psychiatry posts in England, Scotland and Wales starting from August 2014 onwards will be recruited to using the process coordinated by Health Education North West.
Northern Ireland continues to operate its own recruitment process for psychiatry. For further details please visit the Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Agency website

Health Education England are holding a series of free webinars aimed at doctors interested in applying for GP and psychiatry specialty training in England, guiding them through the entire recruitment process.
Suitable for applicants from the UK and overseas, the webinars will provide information on:
- applying and the application process
- the assessments
- the interview
- what key dates to look out for
- a question and answer session with our recruitment team & Professor Longson, Head of Recruitment Board of Psychiatry, Royal College of Psychiatry
