NW SuppoRTT Course

We encourage all returners to do the NW SuppoRTT Course prior to their return to training.

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust deliver this course on behalf of NHSE NW.

Day 1s are 09:30 – 16:00 via Zoom.

Day 2s are face to face and will be arranged with you individually as part of the booking process.

Some Schools/Specialties have a Day 3 which is organised by the School SuppoRTT Champions.

Coffee Catch Ups

Hosted by our Fellow, Hawwa, this is a relaxed place for an informal chat with other trainees who are currently out of programme.

Grab a drink and come chat to fellow trainees about what you are up to, what life is like out of training, any worries or concerns or talk about the best thing you might have watched on Netflix!

Come once, every time or just drop in whenever you can; stay for 10 minutes or the full session - these are for you!

Shapes Toolkit Course - Virtual Webinar

The Shapes Toolkit Programme is especially for doctors and other busy healthcare professionals who are under immense pressure in their work and is fully focussed on helping you survive and thrive, whether on the frontline or working virtually.

It was created by Dr Rachel Morris, host of the You Are Not A Frog podcast, and GP turned Executive and Team Coach who knows what it's like to work in the high stress environment of the NHS and feel overwhelmed with work.

During the programme, you will learn how to use a series of easy-to-use coaching and productivity tools, which will help you to:

  • Prioritise your time and workload
  • Recognise when you are heading towards burnout
  • Increase your own wellbeing
  • Identify and change the things that cause you stress at work
  • Change your reaction to stressful events
  • Have better conversations
  • Take control of things that you can control
  • Identify when you are stuck in unhelpful patterns of behaviour, taking the ‘victim’ mentality
  • Take control of your own career and design a life you'll love
