The Equality, Diversity and Inclusion group was established in September 2016 with the aim of supporting HEE's work to ensure that all trainee doctors and dentists are treated fairly and enabled to reach their full potential. Outlined below is the profiles of those involved in this group which gives an insight of who they are and why they joined.
One might think, in this day and age when gay marriage has been legalised in England, Scotland and Wales, that homophobia and discrimination against lesbians, gay men and bisexual people was a thing of the past. If only that were the case.
